On Monday, 10 March at 7pm (at the beginning of a day of strikes), this statue of Fourier[1] was placed on the same pedestal that it occupied up to 1941, place Clichy, from which the Germans sent it to the foundry. This quite loyal replica carried a plaque engraved with the inscription
There were more than a hundred witnesses at the moment was the statue was set in place, but no one was surprised.
Yesterday, at the end of the afternoon, the statue was still there, but surrounded by police officers. (It was removed this morning by the police.[2])
